A new GUI era

BumpTop adds rigid body physics to your desktop. Throw around documents, shuffle, pile, crumble (OK, even non-rigid). Why didn’t I think of this? Instant PhD right there. And pretty cool too. This should have made it to SIGGRAPH… Anyway, check their video (torrents and youtube links right here).

Dunno, even though the system as a whole is probably too much of a change for the end user, I think some of the concepts could be applied in current GUI design.

Oops, I forgot I was talking to someone that actually works in that industry
